Ingredients
4 Sweet corn on the cob, husked
3 cups of Whole milk
½ teaspoon of Ground cinnamon
½ cup of Sugar
¼ teaspoon of Salt
1 ½ tablespoon of Cornstarch
2 Cinnamon sticks
⅛ teaspoon of Nutmeg
Preparation
Step 1 : The corn is husked to remove the husk and silk, then kernels are cut from the cob.
Step 2 : The kernels are blended together with milk, water, ground cinnamon, sugar, salt, and cornstarch.
Step 3 : This mixture is strained to remove solids.
Step 4 : The preparation is poured into a pot and cinnamon sticks are added.
Step 5 : Brought to a medium heat, stirring constantly to prevent sticking at the bottom.
Step 6 : After boiling for about 15 minutes, it is removed from the heat and sugar is added if needed.
Step 7 : The dessert is served in individual bowls, sprinkled with a little nutmeg on top of the majarete.
Step 8 : Finally, it is cooled before serving.
