Braised Meatballs
Ingredients
500 grams of Ground Beef
2 Red onion, finely chopped
1 Red bell pepper, finely chopped
4 Ripe tomatoes, finely chopped
1 tablespoon of Minced garlic
1 cup of Tomato sauce
1 Lightly beaten egg
½ cup of Breadcrumbs
2 tablespoons of Chopped parsley
1 teaspoon of Ground pepper
1 teaspoon of Salt
Preparation
Step 1 : Place the meat in a bowl and add chopped onion, garlic, salt, pepper, beaten egg, and breadcrumbs.
Step 2 : Mix all ingredients well to form the meatballs.
Step 3 : In a skillet with hot oil, brown the meatballs and set aside.
Step 4 : In the same skillet with a little oil, sauté the onion, garlic, bell pepper, and tomatoes until they soften.
Step 5 : Add the tomato sauce, season with salt and pepper, and cook the sauce for a few minutes until reaching the desired consistency.
Step 6 : When the sauce starts to boil, add the meatballs and cook over low heat for 10 minutes.
Step 7 : Add chopped cilantro and remove from heat.
