The quipe, a Dominican gastronomic fusion of Lebanese influence, is prepared with wheat, meat, herbs, and spices. They can be fried or baked, perfect as an appetizer served with sauce. A delight for your palate.
To prepare the quipes, combine wheat, chopped meat, onion, and spices.
The mixture is kneaded until it reaches a uniform consistency and small filled balls are formed.
Then, they are fried until golden and served with sauce.

Ingredients
600 grams of Ground beef
½ cup of Bulgur wheat
½ Finely chopped onion
1 tablespoon of Crushed or powdered garlic
1 teaspoon of Cumin
2 tablespoons of Finely chopped parsley
500 milliliters of Oil for frying
2 tablespoons of Olive oil
½ teaspoon of Pepper
1 teaspoon of Salt
Preparation
Step 1 : To prepare the quipes, start by placing the wheat in a bowl and cover it with water, letting it rest for 1 hour.
Step 2 : Then, place the wheat in a colander to drain the excess water.
Step 3 : In a skillet with olive oil, sauté half of the onion and garlic.
Step 4 : Add one-third of the ground meat, salt, cumin, and pepper, and sauté for 10 minutes.
Step 5 : Set this mixture aside.
Step 6 : In a separate bowl, combine the remaining meat, drained wheat, remaining onion, parsley, salt, cumin, and pepper.
Step 7 : Knead all ingredients until a homogeneous mixture is achieved.
Step 8 : Then, form balls with the mixture and fill them with the reserved meat sauté, giving them the characteristic shape of quipe.
Step 9 : Fillled balls are fried in hot oil until golden.
Step 10 : Finally, serve the quipes accompanied by sauce.
