Hot Oatmeal
Ingredients
½ cup of Rolled oats
4 cups of Milk
⅓ cup of Sugar
1 teaspoon of Vanilla extract
4 Cinnamon sticks
½ teaspoon of Ground clove
½ teaspoon of Ground nutmeg
1 pinch of Salt
Preparation
Step 1 : First, the oats and milk are placed in the blender.
Step 2 : Process the mixture for one to two minutes, or until smooth and homogeneous.
Step 3 : Next, pour this mixture into a pot and heat over medium-high heat.
Step 4 : Once in the pot, add the sugar, salt, vanilla extract, cinnamon sticks, clove, and nutmeg.
Step 5 : Be sure to stir well so all ingredients are incorporated and flavors blend evenly.
Step 6 : When the preparation begins to gently boil, reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about five to ten minutes, stirring occasionally.
Step 7 : The goal is for the mixture to thicken and reduce by approximately a quarter.
Step 8 : When ready, remove and discard the cinnamon sticks.
